Residents May Express Their Opinions Electronically
As of the end of this March, all interested parties may express their opinions, within the framework of public discussions, electronically on the Riga City Council webpage www.riga.lv.
Acting Director of the Riga City Council City Development Department Gvido Princis: “Main benefits are reduction of bureaucracy, the faster summarization of opinions and the feedback process. Residents will be capable of expressing their opinion faster and more conveniently, as well as will be assured that their opinions have been received.”
Opinions on detailed plannings, amendments to the territory plannings or construction projects, which are the subject of public discussions, can be expressed by registering in electronic form on the www.riga.lv webpage in the section E-Services, Public Discussions. One can also register by using his/her e-signature, the internet banks indicated on the webpage, as well as, having received the authorization password on the www.riga.lv webpage, at the Riga City Council Clients Service Centre at Kungu iela 6/9, taking along his/her passport.
It is to be noted that those interested in the territory planning, apart from expressing their opinions, may also view the Riga City Council City Development Department replies to their proposals.
At present, two public discussions are going on. Public discussion on the final text of amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 is taking place up to 24 April and public discussion of the first text of the detailed planning for the land plots at Maskavas iela and Jāņogu iela – up to 17 April.
All interested parties may also express their opinions by sending them by mail or submitting them in person to the Clients Service Centre of the Riga City Construction Board at Amatu iela 4.
