Engineering Communication Projects Approval Procedure Updated to Conform to the General Construction Regulations Requirements

Starting with 30 March, when submitting an engineering communications project, which is designed as an independent project, to the Riga City Construction Board, it is also necessary to present the earlier received planning task for the project design.

In cases, when the engineering communications project is designed as an independent project, it is necessary to receive a special planning and architectural task (the engineering communications planning task) issued by the Riga City Construction Board, where the design requirements for elaborating the engineering communications project are indicated.

The aforesaid planning task can be ordered from the Construction Board Clients Service Centre at Amatu iela 4, Riga. It is required to fill in the construction application for the engineering communications project design. Following its evaluation, a decision on issuing the planning task is taken. When the task is received, a separate construction project is elaborated to conform to the determined planning requirements. Such a project is accepted at the Construction Board and a separate construction permit is issued.

In the event the engineering communications part is designed in connection with the planned construction or reconstruction of a building, for whose design the Construction Board has already issued a planning and architectural task, it is included into the technical project and submitted to the Construction Board for evaluation and acceptance simultaneously with other parts of the technical project. In this case, a separate engineering communications planning task is not necessary.

Comprehensive information on changes in the procedure of submitting and considering documents can be obtained from the Riga City Construction Board Clients Service Centre at Amatu iela 4, Riga, or by calling +371 67105800.
